Why move to Norwich?

The city of Norwich is found within the English county of Norfolk and is a cathedral city which claims to be the most complete medieval city within the UK.

The city has beautiful, cobbled streets, ancient buildings, stunning buildings including the forum, Norwich Cathedral, and Norwich Catle among many medieval lanes and the calming river Wensum which flows through the city center towards Norwich castle.

Over half of the shops found within Norwich are independent small businesses which can be found along the gorgeous lanes and cobbled streets. The 1,000-year-old brightly colored market remains along the main strip. The market, which once was known for its mushy pea stall and takeaway fish chips has evolved to now include bars and beautiful flower shops along with takeaways from a variety of cuisines.

The city would not be the same without the well sort after Jarrold’s superstore, who pride themselves on supplying local products.

Norwich was voted one of the best places to live in England in 2023 on the review website iLiveHere.

Darlington was crowned the winner followed by Aylesbury and then Norwich third. The close neighbouring town of King’s Lynn came 14th, Great Yarmouth 16th and Lowestoft 31st.

The town of Aylsham was named the best place to live in Norfolk. The vote took place on a lifestyle website and crowned due to its short city commute, pretty countryside, and weekends on the beach.
