“Removal Operatives just shift furniture”
Whilst yes, this is part of their role, however, there is a lot more to the job than initially meets the eye. Our crews are talented in an array of skills including therapists, carpenters, plumbers, athletes, interior designers and sometimes miracle workers to name just a few! They will go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your moving experience as much as possible. Let’s give them the respect they deserve.
“It’ll only take me a day to pack my home”
Packing is a time consuming task! Everyone always has more items than they think they do. Start packing non-essential items as soon as you know you’re moving. Alternatively, arrange for a packing service with your removal company.
“Labelling boxes doesn’t matter”
False! Labelling boxes is crucial for finding essentials quickly. It’s also impossible to determine what is where when you have a room full of moving boxes. Avoid the stress and label!
“I don’t need to notify anyone about my address change”
Informing relevant parties about your address change, such as banks, utility companies, and government agencies, is crucial to avoid missing important mail or services. In some cases it is a legal requirement to update your address information.

“I want to move myself because it’s cheaper”
DIY moves can seem cheaper, but hidden costs like equipment rental, time off work, and potential damages soon add up. Moving home is often more reasonable than you think, especially if you take into account the stress relieved and work that is involved to move home.

“I don’t need your removal boxes, I have my own”
That’s fab! However, if you’re planning to use lot’s of crisp/banana boxes, delivery boxes or plastic containers this may cause added pressure on your moving day. Having all your effects in square boxes of a similar size, means that they can be efficiently stacked in the lorry. Our boxes are effectively free, so why not make the most of this service!

“Moving on a Friday is more expensive”
False! Whilst we can’t comment on other companies who may increase their prices for moving on a Friday, our competitive quotes stays consistent no matter the day of the week (weekdays only) or time of year. Friday do, however, tend to be a very popular moving day so keep this in mind when choosing dates.
“I haven’t exchanged, but I have a definite date”
Be careful about booking a removal without exchanging first. Even though your chain may have agreed on a certain date, until you have exchanged nothing is set in stone. You may incur postponement fees if you have to move your date once you have booked. We run a provisional calendar, which allows us to keep you updated on dates to avoid the risk of any penalties.
