Moving house can be a real mixed bag for the kids. Depending on how old your children are, the reason for your move, and how far you’re moving, there might be some unexpected surprises, delights and disappointments in store for them. If you’re moving just down the road then the degree to which they might be affected will likely be far less than if you’re moving across to the other side of the city, county or country. Moving house can mean friends and family are no longer as close as they once were, new schools to settle into, and a new area to familiarise themselves with. Any one of these things can be a big challenge on their own but they can become a really big and complex challenge when added together. Are you children ready for that challenge?
