Thankfully not every street in Norwich has parking restrictions but when moving day comes it’s more than helpful to know if the street our customer lives in, as well as the street they’re moving to, has any kind of parking restrictions. Given how long we’ve been moving people in and around Norwich, we’re well versed in which streets to look out for.
Take some of the streets in the Golden Triangle in Norwich for example (one of the UK’s most desirable places to live). They’re long and barely wide enough to get a car down sometimes let alone a removals lorry. Some have permit restrictions too, no passing places, trees every thirty feet, or are full of parked cars from end to end all day long.
The width of the street can definitely be a real challenge sometimes…even if they are beautiful like the famous Elm Street…but since we have a whole fleet of different sized vehicles, that’s not usually a problem. It’s the over-zealous traffic warden and their black and yellow stickers we have to watch out for. To be fair, the majority of traffic wardens are very reasonable and understand that we sometimes have no choice but to park on the kerb or on a double yellow line (heaven forbid!) for a minute or two, usually while we decide if there’s a better place to park that won’t contravene the traffics laws or hold traffic up. No matter though! We have yet to come across a problem we can’t solve – which is all part of our home removals service in Norwich!
